SKSS GOES TO MALACCA TRIP

In my point of view I think it has been a meaningful journey. It is worth it to go to this journey. Even though it might be a two day one night journey, you would still have expanded your knowledge and learn a lot of new things.

On the first day we went to the cheng ho museum Paul church, river cruise, A famosa and we had lunch. The first thing we did was to eat our lunch @ seroni. They served us peranakan food .peranakan food is both Chinese and Malay mix. We had a tasty meal.

Then we head to the river crusie.it was a fun ride. Along the river there were restaurants. During the river cruise they scooped the water into a pail and told us to take the ph of the water. After the river cruise we headed to famosa .We had to climb a long stairs I was the third to reach the top. After that we went to the st Paul’s Church there I prayed to Jesus that we should have nice safe journey and thank him for letting us have a safe journey all this while. Then we head down to the Cheng Ho Museum. That was the place which was mostly rich in history. They first showed us a video, than an elderly woman spoke to us and made us understand the history of Malacca. After that they showed us a puppet show. The puppet show was super. Than we had our dinner, after dinner it was time to check into the hotel room.

The next day we had a breakfast than we checked out. After that we went to the hot spring.the hot spring was really hot.Nevertheless we enjoyed the hot water.Than we took the ph of the water again but suprisingly the ph was the same as the Malacca River. Then we headed to the malay kampong there we learned how to tie a sarong and we learn their culture.Than we had macdonald's we had a good lunch. Than it was time to come to Singapore.Home Sweet Home.

Haqeem's Reflection On Malacca Trip

The malacca trip was a memorable and enjoyable trip as it is the first time I get to visit overseas with my friends not just to any country but to a country which is rich in history and tourist attraction.the first memorable activity is the river cruise as we get to check out the ph of the water of the river.the second memorable activity is the lunch at seroni because i get to try out the baba nyonya dishes.the third memorable activity is the visit to the cheng ho meuseum as we get to know more about cheng ho the man who traveled around the world.
the first difference between malacca and singapore: singapore has more buildings and sky scrapers compared to malacca.
the second difference between malacca and singapore:malacca is way bigger than singapore
the first similarities of singapore and malacca: malacca and singapore have vegetable plantations
the second similarities of singapore and malacca:both malacca and singapore got tourist attractions such as the fairy 's wheel.
the three important values that i have learnt during the malacca trip is, responsibility, respect and itegrity. i have learnt how to be responsible by holding on to my passport at all times as if i do not do so,i will lose it and not be able to return back to singapore.
I have leant how to be respectful by being attantive at all times or i will not know what to do during the trip
I have lernt about integrity by doing the correct things even if the teachers are not looking.

well....I think that is all i have learnt after the trip. Thank you for reading my reflection.

Dolly's Reflection on Malacca Trip . (:

Well, this Learning Journey trip to Malacca from 12th March 2010 to 13th March 2010, made me learnt a lot of new things that expand my knowledge . Even though we only went there for 2 days 1 night, but its very meaningful and fun . I think what we really looked forward on the first day is checking into the hotel night . On the first day, we went to the Cheng Ho museum and it makes me wanna know more about Malacca's history ! Because its very interesting . And also the St Paul's church . Its very touching and inspiring . What happened there in the past made me so touched that I almost cried . We went for lunch that day, and we have to do a Food Review on it . I sat with the boys because there wasn't any seats available . I scooped the rice for them . ( some of the boys in our class ) . At night, we checked in to the hotel . I shared room with Rebecca . Late at night, our class went wild . Don't wanna talk about it, its sad . ):

And then the next day, we went to the malay kampong . Trip to the Malay Kampong made me treasure the advanced technologies in Singapore and the Comfortable transportation . The only thing that I love about the Malay Kampong is the plantations there and those animals that can roam around freely . I had stomachache for the whole day . But luckily my Bestfriend is there to take care of me . :D Thank you guys . :D

Shannan's Reflection on Malacca trip

The first similarities between Singapore and Malacca is both singapore and malacca have vegetation present.Second similarities is both have bridges and transportation. The first difference between Singapore and Malacca is Singapore has buildings but Malacca has small houses. The second difference is Malacca is consider a rural enviroment but singapore is consider a urban enviroment.

The first most memorable experience is to go on a river cruise. We get to see the Malacca river. The second most memorable experience is visiting Cheng Ho museum, as we learn alot of things about Zheng He, the great mariner of China. We learn that Zheng He's hometown is at Yunan in China. He is a eunuch in the Ming army before he became the mariner. We are also given permission to see the past items used by Zheng HeThe third most memorable experience is to have a hot spring experience at Galek Hot spring.I have learnt to be active and coorperative in a group activity or an individual activity. I have also learnt to listen and accept other people's ideas or opinion, so that everyone is active in a group. Lastly, I have learnt to care for my teamates and classmates.I learnt that I am cooperative and work well with my friends. I learnt that I am self-disciplined and know how to take care of myself. I learnt how to take care of my friends and respect them.

Malacca Trip

The learning journey to malacca was a very enjoyable, fruitful and memorable one. When I first heard about this learning journey, I was very excited and eager to uncover the history of Malacca. In my opinion, both Malacca and Singapore have a lot of tourist attractions. Malacca is way bigger then Singapore. But Singapore and Malacca also have their differences. Singapore is more advance in terms of technology. Malacca has more historical places or remains then Singapore. I had three most memorable experience there. Firstly was at the A Famosa, whereby we took a class photo. The texture of the A Famosa was very rough and its walls have holes. I cannot forget whereby we have to take the stairs up to the St. Pauls church. It is very tiring. Second most memorable experience I had was at The Gadek Hot Spring. I have never seen or been to a hot spring before. When I put my leg into the "pool", I felt like my leg was boilling. The water was hot. Despite that, I learned that the water contains substances that can help cure some diseases or sickness. Third most memorable experience was the river cruise, where we get to check out the ph of the water. During the cruise, we saw a water monitor lizard. I learned three things about myself during the trip. First, I cannot pay attention to what the teacher or tour guide is talking for long. Secondly, I found out that I am very hyper. Lastly, I am very eager to learn about the history of Malacca(I don't know why). Overall, this learning journey is a great and fun one. I hope that there is more learning journeys for us in the future. I would like to thank all the teachers that followed 1E3 for the enjoyable trip!

Experiental learning trip to malacca

By:Po Yi

1 The similarities between singapoe and malacca are:

that both malacca and sungapore are small.

both singapore and malacca respect their history.

Differences:It is quite obvious that singapore are more modern than malacca

2 the memorable experiences are galek hot spring ,the buffet, the hotel and the visit of the cheng ho museum,it is first time i go to hot spring,i am very excited but I cannot stand with the heat of the hotspring at first, but i can withstand the heat at very last ten minutes, and enjoy with my friends.cheng ho museum is my most memorable experience during the malacca trip, why i say that? becausei get to know that cheng ho is a eunuch, but he still can complete his mission.the buffet is really really nice,it is palatable, lastly the hotel,me and Darren partner,we had pillow fight,i think not more than five minutes,I defeat Darren and the most important is that the water from the tap is not clean is it yellow in colour.(complain!)

3 I learnt that i will not be irresponsible person and independent at all the timealso learnt that i am not self-disciplined enough, but i know how to take care of my self. Finally,i realise that i am good at pillow fight

Experiental Learning Trip To Malacca

By Hubert Loh(26)
In my opinion,
The similarities in Singapore and Malacca are:
Firstly, the hotels in Malacca and Singapore are quite big.
Secondly, Singapore and Malacca both have rivers named after the place or country they are located in.
The differences are:
Firstly,Singapore is an urban environment but Malacca is an rural environment.
Secondly, People in Malacca live in small kampong houses, while Singaporeans live in tall buildings.
The three most memorable experiences are the river cruise, galek hot spring and the Cheng Ho museum.
The river cruise is memorable because we could chat and take pictures, and we saw a monitor lizard. The galek hot spring is the most memorable as we got to soak our feet into the hot spring and I enjoyed myself. Wen Wei and I were competing with each other and wanted to find out who will be the last one sitting. Unfortunately, we had ran out of time and had to get out. I learnt that soaking ourselves in the hot spring can cure kidney and skin diseases ,joint pain and high blood pressure.
Three things about what I had learnt about myself...
Number 1: I learnt that I am cooperative and work well with my friends.
Number 2: I learnt that I am self-disciplined and know how to take care of myself.
Number 3: I learnt how to take care of my friends and respect them.
